As New Englanders, the family's early focus was on the emerging wine industry of the North East; the commitment to making the best wines possible naturally expanded and in 1999 led them to beautiful Napa Valley, and in 2000 a first harvest. As grapes were crushed and young wine fermented, the reality of Jonathan Edwards Winery truly began to take shape. Producing some of the best wines where each bottle has its own story. Our decanting wine dinner class is an interactive four-course dining experience designed to educate and engage guests in the art of wine service. Each course is paired with a carefully selected wine, and a sommelier demonstrates the proper decanting technique—explaining when and why wines benefit from aeration, how to enhance aromas and flavors, and how to handle older vintages with care. As guests enjoy each pairing, they gain hands-on knowledge and a deeper appreciation for how decanting elevates both the wine and the overall dining experience.
